ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY EVENT:

Put on your Red, White, and Blue and race, walk or stroll the races where horses are spectators. 1st Place finisher in each division takes home a lucky horseshoe medal - YES - a real horseshoe. We have the best 4th of July Medals of any OC race.

The exciting and invigorating 10K Epic Challenge CROSS-COUNTRY Race is for ages 11 and up, and hits the trails and hills in this idyllic setting. It is a more challenging course, not for the weak of knees or ankles, as it traverses multiple trail surfaces from road to dirt, mulch, sand, natures elements, and the probability or two of a seasonal creek water crossing.  It also includes a couple of steep vertical grade changes and beautiful views of horses and barns.

Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the family-friendly Orange Park Acres 4th of July Pre-Parade 5K Race/Walk traverses thru the rural and picturesque Orange Park Acres community and closely follows the "4th of July" Parade route - a 50 plus year tradition. Situated on the east edge of Orange, this community is known for its rural equestrian estates and 4H animal husbandry which allows participants to pass horses watching from their turnouts and many catch a glimpse or two of unusual farm animals and miniature horses. It is the perfect race for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities and it's stroller friendly too.
Races include participants medals for finishers. Custom medals awarded for the top three finishers in each age bracket - only the first placer in each age bracket receive the horseshoe.

Most Patriotic Male, Female, and small group Family awards are by crowd selection.  All participants registered by June 10th receive a race T. After that date t-shirts are not guaranteed and are on a first come –first served basis. We ask for no pets on the race course for their safety as well as the safety of other participants.
